Dental Technology

A key to excellent dental care is state-of-the-art technology. At Caldwell Dental Care, we invest in having the latest, most reliable technology available to best serve you. Here is some of the technology we use in our office every day:

CEREC

With CEREC, you can obtain same-day dental crowns. CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction. This system allows us to take digital images of your teeth and gums. Using these images, the CEREC system constructs ceramic restorations, such as crowns, that we can place during your visit.

Cone Beam 3D X-Ray

A Cone Beam 3D X-ray system allows us to get three dimensional images of your whole mouth. This radiography method provides low discomfort with the best opportunity for a complete and accurate diagnosis. We can obtain panoramic and cephalometric imaging of your teeth. Panoramic images give us a full view of your teeth, from jaw to jaw, while the cephalometric images provide a view from either side of your face. These methods allow us to better plan your treatment options.

Intraoral Camera

Intraoral cameras are small, handheld digital cameras that are shaped like pens. These cameras transmit the video feed to a monitor, which allows us to get a closer look at your teeth. We can zoom into your teeth to find cavities and other issues we might otherwise miss. The best thing about an intraoral camera is you can see what we see. You can view on the monitor any issues we find, to help you have a better understanding of your diagnosis.

Ultrasonic Cleanings

An ultrasonic cleaning is a great way to get more tartar off your teeth! The scaler uses sound waves to blast off plaque and tartar. This tool is useful for deep cleanings that help treat periodontal disease.
