DR. TY CALDWELL: Aesthetic dentistry is dentistry's answer to improving your smile. So not everybody is born with the smile that they wish they had, and often, you wish you could do something about it. Well, virtually every time, we can. So what we do is we'll take photographs of your smile, after a careful interview, and finding out exactly what you're hoping for, and we'll find a way to match that dream. But aesthetic dentists are focused on the science of this, as well, so we need to know which materials to use, how your bite works, how your smile fits your face, and then we actually customize the dentistry to this. So not everybody's smile will look alike, but when that's done well, the smile just pops, and it's so fun to get a before and after picture. And one of my favorite appointments in the whole office is the day that the patient gets their final teeth, and maybe my next-favorite is when I check them a week later, because they've had a chance to wear them, they've had some compliments, and I usually get a pretty big hug out of that--and that's my favorite day.
